International Workshop and Summer School 2026 | Heritage in Young Hand | Episode I . 

We are pleased to announce an exciting international collaboration bringing together students and faculty from three leading institutions across Thailand and Vietnam. The International Program in Architectural Heritage, Creative Industries and Tourism Management and the Vernacular Architecture and Built Environment Program, Faculty of Architecture, Silpakorn University, in partnership with the College of Architecture, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University (SSRU), will host an international workshop for students from the Faculty of Industrial Fine Arts, Ton Duc Thang University, Vietnam. . Workshop Theme: Vernacular and Heritage Built Environment: "Digitalisation and Processing" . Dates: 1–6 June 2026 . Case Study Site: Wat Sawas Waree Semaram, Samsen, Bangkok . This workshop forms part of Silpakorn Summer School 2026, organised in collaboration with SSRU as an academic service initiative for local communities in Bangkok. Participants will engage in lectures and theoretical sessions at the Faculty of Architecture, Silpakorn University, followed by hands-on fieldwork at Wat Sawas Waree Semaram. Students will conduct surveys and digitalise information on the temple's heritage buildings and cultural artefacts, with a focus on heritage management and the sustainable utilisation of the temple and its surrounding communities. This collaborative project is proudly supported by the Faculty of Architecture, Silpakorn University; the College of Architecture, SSRU; and the Faculty of Industrial Fine Arts, Ton Duc Thang University, Vietnam. Through fieldwork, surveys, and digital processing, this initiative aims to cultivate an international mindset and foster meaningful collaboration among students while contributing valuable support to local communities and heritage sites.
