Architecture students conducted a field study within a local community to learn and understand the real-life context under the “Social Engineer” approach. Key tools applied in the process included the “Heavenly Tool,” “Life Clock,” and “Development Timeline.”

These tools were used to gather in-depth data on community lifestyles, needs, and to analyze strengths and weaknesses—serving as a crucial foundation for designing and developing solutions that are appropriate to the local context.

This fieldwork was strongly supported by the community leader and key community members, who provided valuable information, shared insights, and conveyed real-life experiences. Their contributions played an essential role in enhancing students’ learning and fostering a comprehensive understanding.

The activity reflects the integration of architectural knowledge with community engagement, helping students develop critical thinking, analytical skills, and design approaches that effectively respond to real societal needs.
