On Tuesday, August 11, 2026, Assistant Professor Dr. Suriyan Chansawang, Dean of the College of Architecture, together with the College’s staff, participated in a Buddhist chanting and merit-making ceremony dedicated as a royal merit in honor of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, on the occasion of National Mother’s Day 2026. The ceremony was held on the 1st floor of the Office of the President Building, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University.

On this occasion, university administrators, faculty members, and staff participated in the merit-making ceremony by offering breakfast to 10 Buddhist monks from Wat Ratchathiwat Ratchaworawihan. The ceremony also included Buddhist chanting, the offering of the Mahabangsukula cloth, offerings of the four requisites and other religious items, followed by the traditional water-pouring ceremony to receive blessings.

The activity was held as a meaningful expression of reverence and gratitude for Her Majesty’s gracious contributions, while fostering unity and bringing auspiciousness to the university community.
