Project of the Royal Barges Museum

In the past, the war of the Royal Thai Monarchy would be executed by masses called "The Process of the Land Barge”. Barge (canal boat) that have space free from the battle and it was always used of the naval process by the Royal decree, such as offering of cloth, as a mobilizing call.  The boats used in the royal ceremony are well decorated. Reflecting the majesty of the kings in each era, it is unfortunate that keeping the current ceremonial vessel has no primary storage as an appropriate source due to the environment. The strait of the place has lack of space for traffic and other activities in terms of preservation alone.  Therefore, in order to publish the knowledge and inheritance of greatness in the national culture, it is desirable to have a gathering and exhibition of 53 Royal Barges. The King's Majesty and the House of Kings by the Royal Barge Museum project was made so that the modern people realized the greatness of the royal barge process through the building, acting as the representation of modern architecture that supports the different applications that change to modern needs.
