Project: The Museum of the Yong Tribe in Lamphun)

The Thai Museum of Ethnology in Lamphun is a project that collects handicrafts and history of Thai people. The artistries from several locations within Lamphun Province, scattered around the area. Thai Yong Museum has a design concept that will bring the idea of the architecture houses to young villagers, a developed contemporary architecture without breaking the condition of the old city. It checks the context of the surrounding, building altitude, and dimensions, as well as the characteristic of the unique roof called “Manila”. The colors and materials are analyzed on how to apply to reach a project for a sustainable living with context.
