Design Concept:
This project is developed to meet the need for advancing the potential of international music at both national and international levels, as well as to support the culture and arts of progressive global music.
The design concept for the learning facility of the College of Music focuses on creating an environment conducive to music education, practice, and musical inspiration. It emphasizes functionality, aesthetics, and a holistic user experience.
The building’s identity is characterized by curved lines and forms that reflect the beauty and fluidity of music, which is the art of conveying emotion, creativity, thought, and expression. The curves used in the design symbolize the rhythm of music, the flowing sound waves, and the graceful movement of musical notes when woven together into melodies—such as the lines of the treble clef or overlapping sound waves. The architecture highlights gentle curves that represent the continuity and infinity of music.
