Design Concept:
The design began with the recognition of the declining natural resources leading to various environmental disasters. Therefore, this project aims to create a learning and conservation center for the mangrove ecosystem in Chachoengsao Province. The concept envisions the center as a hub for disseminating knowledge to raise awareness about sustainable mangrove conservation. It is also intended to serve as a tourist attraction for the province, notable for its rare dolphin sightings, which can be found in Chachoengsao.
The center’s design emphasizes the use of eco-friendly materials that do not harm the ecosystem and supports local resources through the use of recyclable building materials. The design highlights the unique feature of dolphins as the central theme. Additionally, the coastal erosion pattern is incorporated as a motif, forming visual lines that connect various building points and create cohesive architectural spaces.
