Design Concept:
Mental health issues in Thailand are increasing continuously. There are about 2 million patients receiving treatment, but up to 10 million people, or more than 10% of the population, suffer from mental health problems. Many people do not receive proper treatment due to various factors that affect different age groups facing diverse psychological challenges, including economic, political, social problems, and stress from work, family, and coexisting with patients. These issues cause harm to individuals and society, potentially leading to economic losses.
The project concept applies Healing Architecture with the following principles:
1) Design: The building is designed to be beautiful, modern, and visually comfortable, suitable for a psychiatric hospital.
2) Natural: The design incorporates as much nature as possible inside and outside the building to use natural elements for healing.
3) Lighting: The building maximizes the use of natural light to create a bright and open atmosphere for patients and visitors.
4) Senses: The design stimulates the five senses of patients through various sensory elements to aid in treatment.
5) Home: Interior spaces, such as patient rooms and service areas, are designed to feel like home, helping patients relax and promoting physical and mental well-being.
