Thailand Creative & Design Center Sukhothai

Design Concept:
This building is inspired by the heritage of Sukhothai, blended with contemporary architecture. The façade reflects the patterns of traditional handwoven fabric through brick arrangements and uses wooden windows made from local materials to facilitate ventilation. The building’s form is influenced by the traditional kiln (Tu Rian), commonly found near water sources such as the Mae Ramphan Canal. The project site is located near the river, which historically served as a transportation route for ceramics. The building is designed with rounded rectangular shapes in compliance with legal restrictions, reflecting the curved lines of the kiln and creating a connection between the past and present.
