On Thursday, 4 December 2025, the College of Architecture led 40 second-year students from the Interior Architecture Program on a study visit to enhance real-world experience in interior architectural design. The activity was conducted as part of the course INA 2204: Interior Architectural Design IV at Café Amazon (PTT Headquarters).

The activity was supervised by the course instructors, namely:

Ms. Panpim Yimmongkol, Head of the Interior Architecture Program

Mr. Paisan Tangkawanich

Ms. Nattakan Pratoomphon

The objective of this study visit was to enable students to learn, analyze, and gain a deeper understanding of design practices from an actual site. The focus was placed on key elements of coffee shop design in alignment with hands-on teaching and learning, such as service area and user experience design, spatial planning of both customer and operational areas, material selection and decorative elements, as well as lighting design to create atmosphere and spatial identity.

In addition, students were introduced to Café Amazon’s business-oriented design approach, which emphasizes corporate identity, sustainability, and brand image. This knowledge can be effectively applied to the development of interior design projects in the classroom.

On this occasion, the College of Architecture would like to express its sincere appreciation to PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited for their warm hospitality and support of this study visit. The experience provided students with valuable firsthand knowledge and helped strengthen their readiness to become professional designers in the future.
