The 6th Thailand Art and Design Exhibition (TADE 6)

A research study examining the role of street art in historic urban contexts was presented at TADE 6, focusing on the relationship between contemporary art and cultural heritage values in traditional urban communities. The study highlights how street art can function as a tool for communicating local identity, revitalizing urban spaces, and encouraging community participation, while maintaining respect for the historical and cultural significance of heritage areas.

TADE 6 (Thailand Art and Design Exhibition 6) is a national-level platform for the exhibition and dissemination of creative works, research, and innovations in art and design. Participants include faculty members, students, academics, artists, and designers from both academic institutions and professional sectors. The exhibition covers fields such as architecture, fine arts, and applied arts, and adheres to academic standards in accordance with the regulations of the Office of the Higher Education Commission (OHEC).

Mr. Paisan Tangkawanich

Project: Krok Boutique Hotel and Bistro

An architectural and service space design project that integrates local identity with contemporary concepts, conveying unique hospitality and dining experiences through spatial organization, material selection, and distinctive architectural details.


Ms. Panpim Yimmongkol and Ms. Nattakan Pratoomphon

Project: Kratheng Khlong Khon

A creative architectural and cultural ecology project presenting a “learning space of water-based livelihoods” in Khlong Khon Community, Samut Songkhram Province. The project emphasizes sustainability, coexistence with tidal ecosystems, and the use of local materials to harmoniously connect environment, culture, and community development.


Mr. Anak Na Nongkhai

Project: The Cubic Meditation Center

A spiritual architectural design project utilizing the geometric form of the cube as a symbol of calmness, stability, and concentration. The space is designed to support meditation practice, inner reflection, and the relationship between architecture and mental states.


Phiphat Saksirikesamkul, Pawin Suthinont, and Somboon Wesa

Research: Street Art and Cultural Heritage Values in Historic Urban Areas: Case Studies of Ban Bat Community and Trok Rong Phi Community, Bangkok

This research investigates the role of street art within historic districts, analyzing the interaction between contemporary artistic expression and the cultural heritage values of traditional communities. The study demonstrates how street art can serve as a medium for expressing local identity, revitalizing spaces, and fostering community engagement, while respecting historical and cultural contexts.


TADE 6 is not merely an exhibition, but a dynamic space for knowledge exchange, cross-disciplinary learning, and the advancement of ideas in art, design, and culture. The platform contributes to society, communities, and the pursuit of sustainable development in the future.
